1979 Ducati 900 SD
Tech stuff: 904,5cc, 89 hp, 188 kg, 88,00 x 74,40 B/S, Wiseco pistons, Carrillo rods, heads ported and flowed with oversize valves, twin spark. CB 105º camshafts, high flow oil pump, reworked oil ducts, double Brembo P8 front calipers mod. Dyna ignition and coils, custom electrics. Two-in-one exhaust.
Engine was stripped down, rebuilt and blueprinted with bigger Wiseco forged pistons. We worked the head dome to make room for the oversize valves and twin spark conversion, ports were flowed and special camshafts were fitted. New crankpin with Carrillo rods was fitted on the crankshaft. Gas flows in through a pair of 40mm Dellorto PHM pumpers and the open exhaust 2-1 system is definately on the loud side of life.
Frame was modified, sandblasted and powder coated in the original red colour.
Fiberglass tank/seat and full fairing was sourced in Italy, as well as the original fairing bracket. The tricky job was to weld both fork tubes to fit a pair goldline p8 calipers, to replicate the ones used on the factory Ducati in the 1980 endurance season.
The paintjob and decals are replica of the 1979TT racer, perfecly executed by our usual partners, Artenruta.
